Le due inermi bambine vivevano nella terra macchiata oggi dal sangue della guerra in una condizione di estremo pericolo.
Valentina seppur immersa in una profonda preoccupazione non si è persa mai d'animo.
Il suo pensiero è andato subito ad Alfredo Iasuozzi, attuale presidente nazionale vicario dell'IPA. Una persona con la quale Valentina ha sempre collaborato nell'ambito dell'associazione di polizia.
In lui Valentina ha sempre riconosciuto quel profondo senso dell'umanità e di persona sempre pronta ad aiutare le persone in difficoltà ( d'altronde l'IPA della quale da decenni ne rappresenta il vessillo si occupa tra le altre cose soprattutto di questo).
Iasuozzi ha subito capito cosa fare.
Dopo la richiesta di aiuto avanzata da Valentina il rappresentante dell'IPA chiama il presidente nazionale Nicolangelo Pezone. Da lui ottiene con celerità i contatti dell'ambasciatore italiano in Polonia e del Presidente del Comitato degli italiani all'estero per la Polonia Circoscrizione Consolare di Varsavia Dr.ssa Silvia Rosato
È attraverso loro che Iasuozzi riesce a smuovere subito le acque.
La Rosato, infatti, si mette prontamente in contatto con Valentina.
Alla nonna Ucraina le fa ottenere i documenti necessari per il disbrigo delle pratiche oltre ad assicurarle vitto, alloggio e biglietti aerei gratuiti.
Valentina ha prende così subito il volo per la Polonia e senza perdere tempo, preleva le sue due nipotine efa ritorno in Italia con un volo diretto per Roma.
Ad aspettarle, nell'aeroporto di Ciampino, c'era la Croce Rossa i cui volontari, dopo averle accuratamente accolte e rifocillate, le conducono a Giulianova laddove ad aspettarle vi trovano in un clima di festa proprio il presidente nazionale vicario dell'IPA Iasuozzi e un gruppo dell'IPA cittadino.
Iasuozzi, però, non si è limita ad assistere solo Valentina e le due nipotine.
Venuto a conoscenza della presenza sullo stesso aereo di un'altra madre ucraina e di sua figlia, si prodiga per far si che anch'esse trovassero una sistemazione. Attraverso il segretario della delegazione IPA laziale Marco Borriello alle due viene offerta adeguata assistenza e un posto dove dormire.
L'indomani lo stesso Borriello si è premura di accompagnarle alla stazione Termini dalla quale sono poi partite con destinazione Napoli.

GIULIANOVA: She didn't know how to do Valentina. A desperate grandmother who had only one thought: to bring her two little granddaughters aged 6 and 12 to Italy from Ukraine.

His thoughts immediately went to Alfredo Iasuozzi, the current vicar national president of the IPA. A person with whom Valentina has always collaborated within the police association.

Iasuozzi immediately understood what to do.
After the request for help made by Valentina, the representative of the IPA calls the national president Nicolangelo Pezone. The Rosato, in fact, quickly gets in touch with Valentina.
She makes her Ukrainian grandmother obtain the necessary documents for the handling of the paperwork as well as assuring her free room, board and air tickets.
Valentina immediately took the flight to Poland and without wasting time, picks up her two granddaughters and returns to Italy with a direct flight to Rome.
Waiting for them, at Ciampino airport, was the Red Cross whose volunteers, after having carefully welcomed and refreshed them, take them to Giulianova where the national vicar president of the IPA Iasuozzi and Iasuozzi are waiting for them in a festive atmosphere. a group of the citizen IPA.
Iasuozzi, however, did not limit himself to assisting only Valentina and her two granddaughters.
Upon learning of the presence on the same plane of another Ukrainian mother and her daughter, he did his utmost to ensure that they too found accommodation. Through the secretary of the Lazio IPA delegation Marco Borriello the two are offered adequate assistance and a place to sleep.
The next day Borriello himself took care to accompany them to Termini station from which they then left for Naples.
A beautiful story the one told by the friends of the IPA of Giulianova.
It is thanks to Alfredo Iasuozzi and the Association he represents that it was possible to write, albeit in an ugly context such as war, a really beautiful page.
